Child of God

He's got the whole world in His hands!

“He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.” (Matthew 28:6)

Hello again – I’m back so soon because I couldn’t let this time of year slip by without a mention. Yes, it’s Easter again!

Jesus’s resurrection is the key to the Christian faith. Just as He promised, Jesus rose from the dead. We can be confident, therefore, that He will accomplish all He has promised. His bodily resurrection shows us that the living Christ is ruler of God’s eternal kingdom, not a false prophet or imposter. We can be certain of our resurrection because He was resurrected. Death is not the end – there is future life!

The resurrection is the basis for the church’s witness to the world. Jesus is more than just a human leader; He is the Son of God.

“They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.” (Luke 24:2-3)

Jesus is not among the dead – He lives! He reigns in the hearts of Christians and is the Head of His church.

“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” (1 Corinthians 1:18)

“We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.” (1 Thessalonians 4:14)

By ‘fallen asleep in him’, we understand that this refers to Christians who have died.

Long story short? Jesus died a brutal death on a cross to take the punishment for our sins. He sacrificed His own life, so that we could have eternal life with the living God. Our sins can be forgiven and we can become Children of God. This offer is available to all –no matter how sinful you are….

What’s the catch? You need to accept this gift! You need to thank Jesus for what He has done for you and then rest secure in the knowledge that you are saved from God’s wrath. As a Child of God, you can stop worrying about the future and start living for Christ.

Happy Easter.

Love Ann
